About Dr. Caitlin Alexander, PT, DPT, CAFS

Caitlin is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, professional triathlete, and certified triathlon and run coach living in Boulder, Colorado.

She graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in 2019. Her clinical experience includes working heavily with sports and orthopedic populations, as well as in pediatrics and acute care.

Caitlin started dancing at the age of three, which she feels is a large contributor to her lifelong fascination with the human body and how it moves. She took that interest in biomechanics into PT school, working as a research assistant in the Interdisciplinary Movement Science Lab. Caitlin has her Certification in Applied Functional Science from the Gray Institute and utilizes principles of 3D movement patterns to create individuated assessment, treatment, and training plans.

She is certified as a triathlon and run coach with USA Triathlon and VDOT O2 respectively. Coming from a swimming and cross country running background, she dove (pun intended) into the sport of triathlon at the age of 14 (after too many running injuries) and has since moved up the ranks to the professional level while pursuing her professional career in sports medicine and rehabilitation.

She lives in Boulder, CO with her husband and Catahoula rescue pup. She works as a sports physical therapist, professional bike fitter, and running gait analyst, working with athletes of all levels, from weekend warriors to Olympians. She has extensive performance and medical bike fitting experience working under Dr. Larry Meyer at BUILD Sports Performance Lab. She is incredibly passionate about educating and empowering her patients and clients to take charge of their own health to optimize performance and increase longevity.
